WeatherAlerts Layer

The L.ALKMaps.Layer.WeatherAlerts layer is used to overlay live weather alerts on your map. (North America only)If an alert is visible within the view-port, the legend item for the alert will have a border and background with the predefined color. Uncheck an alert legend item, and the alert will be invisible.

Inside the code, alert filters are updated and cached alerts are redrawn. Changing severity, urgency, or certainty options will update the filter and cause the alerts to be redrawn. As the result of this action, some of the alerts will be visible and others will be invisible. The “Get Alerts” button is used to get new alerts from the service. The layer and controls have been tested with Leaflet version 0.7.3 and 1.2.0.
